terms & Conditions

This training is offered in coordination with The Institute for Creative Mindfulness and Dr. Jamie Marich, who licensed the curriculum for this training. StartAgain Associates maintains responsibility for the operations of the training, including training delivery, registration, and staffing of the training.

Grievance Policy: StartAgain Associates and The Institute for Creative Mindfulness welcomes feedback and the opportunity to addresses program participant grievances. Grievances, continuing education approvals, refunds, and any other questions or concerns should be directed HERE or via mail at the address below:

Any grievances will be discussed between Dr. Stephen Dansiger and Roshni Chabra and responded to within 5-business days. We hope we can arrive at a mutually agreeable solution. Further escalation is available by contacting the Institute for Creative Mindfulness directly HERE.

Participants also have a right to issue a complaint with any of the continuing education approval sources connected to our trainings if you feel your rights as a learner have been violated or disrespected. These include but are not limited to the the EMDR International Association, the American Psychological Association, the National Board of Certified Counselors, the Association of Social Work Boards, and the Ohio Counselors, Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists Board.

Refunds & Cancelations: If you need to cancel and we receive your cancellation in writing (email is fine) 2 weeks prior to the training, you are eligible for a full refund OR the option to apply the dollar amount paid towards a future training. If cancelling less than two weeks before a scheduled event, trainees are entitled to a 50% refund, OR the option to apply the dollar amount paid toward a future training with StartAgain Associates. All refunds, full and partial, are subject to a 15% administrative fee.

Only medically documented reasons or family deaths are considered as an exception to this policy. No-shows are not eligible for a refund. In the case of inclement weather, should we cancel the training, your registration would simply be moved to our rescheduled date. If the rescheduled date isn't available for you we can offer you another date or entertain your request for a refund. If you terminate your training or need to leave it early for any reason, you are not eligible for a refund.

Attendance at the entire training is required for our program to remain compliant with EMDRIA standards.

Requests to be moved to a future training date will be accommodated when available - but training fees are then considered nonrefundable. All other situations handled on a case-by-case basis. Please let us know if you have any questions about this policy.

Replacement Documents Policy: Replacement documents (certificates of completion, CE verification, wall certificates, etc.) can be replicated in the event they are lost or unavailable. StartAgain Associates reserves the right to charge an administrative fee of $10.00 per document for replacement if the request is over 30 days from when the document was originally issued. Please email us with any questions or concerns.

ADA Support & Disability Accommodation: All venues used for in-person trainings by StartAgain Associates and the Institute for Creative Mindfulness are ADA-compliant. For both in-person and online trainings, if you require assistance, we are willing and committed to make reasonable accommodations. We request 30-days advanced notice for any accommodation requests to allow us to work together on your request.
